Hi everyone Andrew B here to cover this weeks Impact as we have the fall out of Genesis? Did Roode, Aries & Gail Kim all leave with their titles Sunday or were new champions crowned? Also did Abyss lose to Bully Ray and join Immortal? Only one way to find out and that is to keep reading.

The show starts off with a video package about the main event of Genesis. Roode says he doesn’t need friends or family as long as he has the title and Jeff Hardy says that he’ll have something to say on Impact.

Bobby Roode comes out & says that after his dominating, one-sided title defense at Genesis, he has become the most dominant champion in the history of Impact and Sting can keep lining them up so he can keep knocking them down as a Hardy chant is heard. He tells the fans to chant Hardy’s name all night long because the way he turned his life around almost brings a tear to his eye, but he failed. He asks Hardy to come out and humbly accept his defeat and shake the champon’s hand but Sting comes out instead. He’s not sure why they have to keep doing this, but he reminds Roode that he is the employee not the boss. Roode says no, he’s the World Heavyweight Champion, but Sting says he’s the punk kid sitting in the back of the classroom disrupting class and he wants to spank him with a ruler. Sting says it was pretty stupid kicking the referee low to save his title, so he’s going to defend against Hardy in a rematch tonight.

They show earlier today when Matt Morgan showed up at the Direct Auto Insurance office & sees Crimson. He says that Morgan was right; they gave him a great deal. Matt continues by putting them over for the great policy they gave him and his wife, but reminds them that they have a match tonight against Robbie E and Robbie T. Crimson says it’s time to destroy lives, and he’ll see Morgan tonight as we go to break.

Match 1: Matt Morgan & Crimson vs. Robbie E & Robbie T in a Non-Title Match:
Rob Terry runs Crimson over with a shoulderblock and Robbie E comes in to try his luck as well, but Crimson flattens him with a shoulderblock and he tags in Robbie T who again overpowers Crimson. Robbie E comes back in and is again manhandled by Crimson, who drops a big elbow as Morgan comes in and flattens Robbie T with a clothesline before leveling Robbie E with elbows and a clothesline in the corner. Morgan hits Robbie T off the apron with the Carbon Footprint, then they hit a double spinebuster for the win. After the match Samoa Joe & Magnus attack Morgan & Crimson and then hold up the tag titles.
Winners: Matt Morgan & Crimson
Match Rating: * out of 5

We see Eric Bischoff arrive in the building on the way to the ring as we go to break.
We see a video package of Gunner talking about how when he was a kid and disrespected his father, his father dealt with him the same way Eric has to deal with Garett Bischoff now followed by everything that happened with Garett Bischoff.

Eric comes out to the ring and says Garett thinks he’s a wrestler because Sting handed him a pair of boots, and he doesn’t blame him for dreaming as Garett grew up watching his dad reinvent the business and make millions of dollars and the way he made it look so easy. But in the process of doing all that, he scorched the earth behind him and destroyed everything that didn’t benefit him, including people. He says this is why Garett should give up his dreams, but Garett’s music hits and he comes out to go face to face with his dad. He’s says he is not going to give up on his dreams because he hasn’t burnt any bridges, he has friends, and he’s not going anywhere. He’s proud to be in the ring and in this building working with and learning from the great ones like Sting, Storm, Hardy, and Styles, and nothing Eric does will take that away from him. Garett says he also has a new trainer and that when Eric finds out who he will be shocked. Eric goes to grab his son and Garett grabs him by the collar and backs him to the corner and tells Eric not to put his hands on him ever again, then walks off.

Winter and Angelina Love are backstage discussing all the drama going on with the rest of the Knockouts division, but Winter says she is a two time former Knockouts Champion and tonight it’s time to remind everyone else what she’s about. Angelina says that all that’s fine, but she’s a FIVE time former champion and that’s why she’s coming out on top as we go to break.

We go to a video package looking at the recent actions of ODB & Eric Young. We then we go backstage as ODB says to relax because it was one kiss last week because she was hot and horny & she walks off while Young ponders on the possibility that she’s moving too fast, but then ODB comes back, grabs his ass, and leads him to the ring.

Match 2: Winter vs. ODB
ODB backs Winter to the ropes, but Winter with a go behind and ODB bumps her off with her ass. Winter shoves her, so ODB chest bumps her into the corner and goes for the Bronco Buster but Winter moves, so ODB crashes onto the bottom turnbuckle& Winter hangs ODB in the Tree of Woe, then EY goes after Angelina on the floor as Winter cradles ODB for 2. Winter with a sleeper, but ODB breaks free and runs over Winter with a series of shoulderblocks and then a splash in the corner followed by a Bronco Buster, which she hits this time. ODB with a fallaway slam and a kip up, Angelina tries to sneak in and jump ODB but Eric Young slides in and gives her an Airplane Spin. Angelina tumbles out of the ring and then Eric stumbles around and falls out as ODB hits her finisher for the three count as we go to break.
Winner: ODB
Match Rating: * out of 5

Back from break AJ Styles comes out to the ring to address Kazarian, who he demands come out to the ring right now. Kazarian comes out still not looking happy about his decision to turn on AJ, and slowly makes his way into the ring to face Styles. AJ tells Kazarian he caught him by surprise, because he was the one guy he didn’t expect to turn his back on him as he has always been the voice of reason, and he asks if this sounded familiar because he had the same conversation with Christopher Daniels when he turned on AJ earlier this year. Kazarian says he can’t tell AJ why, but then Daniels comes out and says he can, and right now he’s going to shed a little light on the subject. Daniels says Kazarian sees AJ for what he is: a lost cause, because he’s seen AJ lose match after match after match, and he wondered why he was hanging with a loser like AJ when he could hang out with a winner like Daniels. Kazarian is done carrying AJ’s ass, and that he is a worthless piece of shit as Kazarian spins him around and tells him to cut it out, but Daniels tells Kazarian to get out of the ring, but he turns his back on AJ and AJ throws the microphone at Daniels’ back and attacks him. Kazarian drags Daniels out to the floor and walks him to the back as he looks back at AJ and says it’s not like that.

James Storm is backstage and he is on the way to the ring after this break.

After break we get a quick recap of the Monster’s Ball match at Genesis, and then we go backstage to Bully Ray telling Bobby Roode about how he’s trending on Twitter. Roode is still in shock that Sting is making him defend the title against Hardy, and Ray goes “Yeah, he’s not even trending on Twitter!” Bully asks Roode if he’s on Twitter, then Roode says it’s not about Twitter, it’s about going out there and retaining the title. Bully says he’s got Roode’s back, then asks if he’s going to get a shot at the title and Roode says sure buddy, whatever you want.

James Storm comes out & says he doesn’t stand out here talking if he has something to say, he calls them out to settle things, so he calls out Kurt Angle. Angle comes out with a big smile on his face as he apparently wonders what the problem is & he starts to talk and Storm tells him to shut up, but Angle keeps talking so Storm slaps the microphone out of his hand and says he wouldn’t expect Angle to do anything but take the low road because he’s an opportunist or, what his six year old daughter would call him, a cheater. He says Kurt can cheat as much as he wants because the record books still show he beat Angle to win the World Title, and also set a record by beating Angle in about 30 seconds. He wants Angle to help him set another record by going to the back and putting his tights on so he can kick Angle’s teeth down his throat. He hands the microphone to Angle, and Angle says tonight’s supposed to be his night off and he just came here to see his buddies and celebrate because there’s no way in hell he’s getting a rematch. He proved he’s the better man at Genesis, and now he’s on to regaining the World Title. Sting comes out & says that if Roode gets intentionally gets himself disqualified he will lose the title & then says that Storm and Angle each have one win over the other and they’ll face each other tonight with the winner facing the winner of Roode and Hardy. Angle says he’s not supposed to wrestle tonight, but Sting says he’d better get ready because he’s wrestling right after the next break.

We’re back and Angle’s music starts for his entrance but he does not come out. The referee rings the bell and starts counting, and Angle comes running out as he finishes pulling his kneepads & hops in the ring.

Match 3: “Cowboy” James Storm vs. Kurt Angle in a #1 Contender Match For The TNA Title:
Angle runs into the ring, pulling the straps up but Storm is on the attack and the match is all Storm as he goes after the arm of Angle. They brawl on the outside until Kurt rolls in, and Storm follows. Kurt takes control and they go back outside. They go back in the ring & Storm reverses an Irish Whip and connects with an elbow & they go back outside as Angle hits a belly-to-belly on the outside as we go to break. Back from break & its all Angle as he stomps Storm in the corner & then connects with an uppercut. The Cowboy fights back, but Angle sends him crashing back to the mat. Storm tries to fight back, but Angle remains in control until Storm finally turns it around, putting Angle down with a clothesline, elbow & forearm. Storm hits the Backstabberfor a two count & Angle is bleeding from the mouth. Storm flies off of the middle rope and then Storm locks in the Ankle Lock on Kurt who rolls through and hits an Angle Slam for a two count. Angle goes to get the beer bottle but Hebner sees it and argues with Angle. Hebner turns his back to rid of the bottle and Angle spits in Storm’s face followed by a Superkick for a two count. Kurt then slaps Storm around and says some things that get bleeped before Storm hits a Codebreaker and the Last Call out of nowhere to get the win after about 16 or 17 minutes.
Winner: James Storm
Match Rating: **** out of 5

Jeff Hardy is backstage saying that he didn’t come out of Genesis with the World Title, but tonight, he’s going to beat Roode and take the title and that’s all there is to it as we go to break.

Back from break and we are treated to a video package of Brooke Tessmacher, as she hopes to win the Hooters Dream Girl contest.
We then go backstage where Madison Rayne comes up to Sting backstage and says she knows they got off on the wrong foot, but she would like him to officially declare her the VP of the Knockouts Division. Sting says he can’t do that & says that Madison deserves bigger things, so he’s booking her to face Mickie James in a cage match next week.

Match 4: Bobby Roode vs Jeff Hardy for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship:
Roode stands on the ramp during introductions and slowly makes his way down to the ring after they’ve finished, but Hardy baseball slides him through the ropes before he even gets into the ring and begins attacking him on the floor, throwing him into guardrails and chairs set up at ringside, then the ringpost, then the ring steps as we see Dixie Carter in the crowd. Hardy catapults Roode into the ringpost, then goes for the Twist of Fate and Roode shoves him off, but Hardy hits a clothesline on Roode before rolling him into the ring. Hardy puts the boots to Roode in the corner, then hits a running forearm for 2. Hardy clotheslines Roode out to the floor as we go to break. Back from break & Hardy rams Roode knees-first into the ring steps. Hardy sets up the ring steps to try and use to hit Poetry In Motion on Roode as he’s leaning against the barricade, but Roode moves and Hardy hits the barricade. The ref starts to count & Hardy just barely makes in in the ring as Roode goes right after him and locks in a rear chinlock. Hardy gets out of the hold but Bobby takes control untilHardy hits a jawbreaker and a Russian legsweep and then the falling leg cradle for 2. Hardy connects with a double leg takedown & then the double legdrop to the private of Roode. Hardy gets his elbow up on Roode as he charges him in the corner, and then hits the Whisper in the Wind for 2. Hardy goes for the Twist of Fate, but Roode shoves Hardy off into the ropes and hits a spinebuster, then picks Hardy up and goes for the Perfectplex, but Hardy blocks and hits the Twist of Fate. He goes up for the Swanton, but Roode moves and Hardy misses. Roode quickly makes a cover and hooks both legs, but only gets 2. Roode yells at Hardy to get up as he goes to the second rope, but comes off right into a boot to the gut, Hardy with two Twists of Fate, tears his shirt off, then comes off the top with the Swanton, but Bully Ray comes out to ringside and pulls the referee out to the floor before he can count 3. Hardy comes over the top rope and wipes Ray out with a crossbody, and then he gets back inside and looks angry as his music hits to end the show.
Winner: No Contest
Match Rating: *** out of 5

Overall:
A weird Impact this week as there was only 4 matches but two got over 12 minutes. Strom vs. Angle was about 16 minutes while Hardy vs. Roode was about 14 minutes & the other two matches were under 5 minutes. The tag match was basically a squash while the Knockout match was a comedy match. I enjoyed the two promos with Sting, one with Roode and one with Madison Rayne as I like Sting in the role of a General Manger. We also have a tag team feud with Samoa Joe & Magnus vs. Crimson & Matt Morgan which is good because it gives Joe something to do and we can care about tag team wrestling again. Speaking of the champions why the hell would they have a promo to promote Direct Auto Insurance how about they have a backstage promo in the arena to take their match more seriously or atleast show they training or talk about their match from Genesis. The AJ Styles & Daniels & Kaz is interesting but I feel TNA should leave Daniels out as he has been feuding with AJ then RVD and then back to AJ, just let Kaz & AJ do their thing. The double Bischoff promo was ok but can we just not have to deal with them anymore, Hulk went away why Eric can’t do the same I do not know. The Storm vs Angle is a contender for TNA TV Match of the Year for 2012. The 1/12/2012 Impact earns a 6 out of 10 because of two good matches that were must see.

That’s all for this week but join me next week as Gunner battles AJ Styles, Madison Rayne and Mickie James square off in a Steel Cage Match & Magnus will go one on one against Tag Champion Crimson, so come back next week for sure.

A Look At The WWE World Heavyweight Championship in 2011‏

By Andrew B.

Hi everyone Andrew B here to take a look at the World Heavyweight title this time. What a year it was as we saw Christian and others win the title for the first time so let’s not waste anytime and take a look back in time.

The year started with Edge as World Champion after winning a fatal four way TLC match in December 2010. His first title defense was on the 1/7/11 Smackdown when he defeated Kane in a 20 minute last man standing match. Edge would then have a good 20 minute opening match at the Royal Rumble when he pinned Dolph Ziggler after a spear. Edge would then team with Kelly Kelly in a 3 on 2 handicap match for the World Title against Ziggler & LayCool from Long Island, NY on the 2/4/11 Smackdown. After ten minutes of action Kelly speared Layla for the victory so Edge could retain his title. The next week on 2/11/11 Edge defended the title vs. Ziggler and won after Clay Matthews from the Green Bay Packers made the three count. On the 2/18/11 Smackdown Edge was stripped of the title by Vickie Guerrero and she gave the belt to Ziggler. Teddy Long then gives Edge a title shot later that night and Edge wins the title back less than two hours after he lost it. Edge would then defend the title at the Elimination Chamber PPV in February defeating Kane, Wade Barrett, Rey Mysterio, Big Show and Drew McIntyre in an Elimination Chamber match. Edge would then defend the title in his last match against Alberto Del Rio in the opener at Wrestlemania 27.

Edge would then retire shortly due to back injuries and vacated the title.Del Rio was already a number one contender so a battle royal was held on the 4/15/11 Smackdown that Christian won. Christian would then win his first World Title defeatingDel Rio in a ladder match. He would then lose it on 5/6/2011 to Randy Orton, 5 days after he won it (2 because it was taped). Orton’s next two title defenses were successful against Christian at Over The Limit in May and on 6/3/11 Smackdown vs. Sheamus. At Capital Punishment in June Orton defeated Christian after 15 exciting minutes. At Money In The Bank in July Christian regained the title after Orton was disqualified in a match where Orton would lose the title by disqualification. Christian would then lose the title a month later at Summerslam; Orton would then retain the title against Christian in a steel cage match on a live 8/30/11 Smackdown. Orton would then defend the title against Mark Henry at Night Of Champions. Henry would win his first world title after 13 minutes. He would then defeat Orton on 10/2/11 at the Hell In A Cell PPV in a HIAC match. Henry would then defend the title against Big Show at Vengeance on 10/23/11 but the match ended in a no contest after a Superplex broke the ring and the match was ruled a no contest. At Survivor Series Mark Henry and Big Show battled again that saw Show win by disqualification that saw Mark Henry retain his title. On the 11/29/11 Special Live SmackDown Mark Henry retained the title by pinning Daniel Bryan in a steel cage match. At TLC Big Show won the title from Mark Henry in a chairs match only to get attacked by Henry after the match. This would lead to Daniel Bryan cashing in his MITB briefcase to win the World Heavyweight Championship.

Champions of 2011:

Dolph Ziggler (1) – less then 2 hours

Edge (2) – started as champion and then won it again

Christian (2) – once was 5 days and the other a month

Randy Orton (2)

Mark Henry (1) – his first time

Big Show (1) – held it for less then 10 minutes

Daniel Bryan (1)

Overall:

What a year it was for people who won the World Title. There were sad reigns like Christian’s 5 days as champion and then there were bad reigns like Ziggler for less then 2 hours and Big Show for less then 10 minutes. It was nice to see Mark Henry, Daniel Bryan & Christian win their first world titles while Edge held his last. Orton had nice reigns with great matches and was a good champion and it will be interesting as Daniel Bryan leads us into the new year.

That’s all folks until Next Time and remember wrestling is a sport not sports entertainment.

Hey Everybody The Stormin One back once again with your RAW recap.

Kane’s pyro explodes in the arena and he makes his way to the ring and says he hears the weak little whispers that want to know why he embraces hate. He says they are all predictable and annoying, and all these people think their families are spoiled disappointments. Kane says they are full of hate but they don’t embrace it, and they are all delusional like John Cena, because he represents everything they want but can’t achieve. He says Cena should see his own failures and it bothers him when the fans say ‘Cena Sucks’ because they are really saying you suck. Kane says they are all liars and they think that cheering for an underdog makes them good people, and they made Zack Ryder a star but it doesn’t prove anything.

Kane says he was seconds away from dragging Zack to hell, and Cena stopped it but he only delayed the inevitable because he always gets what he wants. Cena cuts him off and runs to the ring and unloads on Kane and clotheslines him to the floor, but Kane lands on his feet and Cena gives chase. They fight into the crowd and Cena throws him through a barricade then they end up backstage, and Kane throws some people out of the way and throws Cena into a wall. He drags him outside and punches him, but Cena comes back with some punches that almost knock Kane off of a loading dock. Kane kicks him in the head and Cena falls into some boxes, but he gets up and hits Kane with a pipe, then Kane kicks him down and Cena gets back up and looks around but Kane seems to have disappeared.

Sheamus & Santino Marella vs Wade Barrett & Jinder Mahal

Jinder knees Santino in the stomach and head, then makes a tag to Wade who puts Santino in a headlock then whips him into the turnbuckle. He pulls Santino into the corner and kicks him then tags in Jinder, and he applies an elevated armbar but Santino fights back with an uppercut and a jawbreaker. Sheamus tags in and clotheslines Jinder in the corner, then hits a powerslam and knocks Wade off the apron and hits Jinder with a Brogue Kick, then tags in Santino who hits the Cobra for the win.

Winners – Sheamus & Santino Marella

Miz is with John Laurinaitis and David Otunga and he says it is unfair that R-Truth is still attacking him, and asks why no one is protecting him or putting a stop to it. John says Miz is bringing it on himself and he has alot to worry about because he is the special referee at the Royal Rumble and Brodus Clay will debut tonight. Miz says no one cares and asks for help, but John says Miz can get his own security because he is not little Jimmy, he is big Johnny, then Miz leaves as David Otunga nods approvingly. Miz is then shown trying to convince Mason Ryan to help him, but Mason declines and goes back in his locker room and leaves Miz standing in the hallway.

Zack Ryder is shown talking to his dad on the phone about Kane attacking him, then gets tough when he sees Eve comes up to him. She asks if he is OK and he says he is fine, and he says he wants to get something off his chest and asks her out. Eve thinks about it then says yes, but it will have to be after her match because she gets a title shot if she wins. Zack says he knows she can win then says goodbye and looks around for trouble before leaving, then Kane opens a door and pokes his head through before disappearing again.

Kofi Kingston vs Daniel Bryan

Bryan shakes Kofi’s hand then ties up and whips him into the corner but Kofi kicks him in the face and hits a crossbody for a two count and calls for Trouble In Paradise. Bryan ducks it and almost gets a rollup, but Kofi kicks out and goes for a springboard crossbody, but Bryan catches him on the way down and puts him in the LeBell Lock and gets him to tap out. Big Show comes out and says he wants to talk about last week but Bryan cuts him off and says he is feeling the same way, and he hates that Mark Henry got involved. He knows the title is too important to have a match like that, and says he will give Show a rematch anytime he wants, and Show says he is glad to hear that because they will have a rematch this Friday, and it is no disqualification.

Winner – Daniel Bryan

“The Funkasaurus” Brodus Clay vs Curt Hawkins

Brodus comes out with two girls in sequined suits and dances to the ring, then takes off his hat and tracksuit and dances in sync with them and says something to Curt Hawkins at ringside. Brodus throws Hawkins to the mat the dances and gets out of a waistlock, and Hawkins slaps him in the face but Brodus whips him off the ropes and headbutts him. He follows with a T-Bone suplex and a running splash, and bounces off the ropes and hits a running crossbody splash for the win.

Winner – “The Funkasaurus” Brodus Clay

Zack Ryder is shown brushing his teeth and is pumping himself up about his date when Kane is shown in the background, but he disappears again. Ryder looks up like he noticed, but shakes his head and leaves as we see Miz talking to Primo and Epico about helping him then CM Punk laughs as he walks past him and heads to the ring. John Laurinaitis comes out before the match and says he wants to prove he is impartial, so if Punk wins tonight John will ban Vickie and Swagger from ringside. He also tells Dolph he wants to make sure he stays in shape so he is giving him a warm up match against John Cena, then tells the ref to ring the bell as Dolph screams at him.

Jack Swagger (w/ Vickie Guerrero & Dolph Ziggler) vs CM Punk

Punk takes Swagger to the mat then they lock up near the ropes and Swagger applies a waistlock, but Punk counters into a headlock and holds on when Swagger tries to roll though. Punk stands back up and gets backed into the corner, but he punches his way out and connects with a bodyslam, then goes up top but Swagger rolls out of the way. He goes to the floor and talks to Vickie, then gets back in the ring and punches Punk and steps on his back then whips him off the ropes. Punk counters with a cross body for two then he punches Swagger near the ropes and whips him, but Swagger reverses into a drop toe hold and attempts to apply the ankle lock

Punk fights him off so Swagger throws him in the corner and flips him over and puts him in a full nelson stretch then rolls him up for two when Punk tries to escape. Swagger puts him in a waistlock then throws him to the floor, and Dolph tries to go after him but John steps in the way and stops him from attacking. Punk pulls Swagger out of the ring the rolls in and runs the ropes and hits a suicide dive back on the floor before pulling Swagger back up as we go to a break. When we return, Swagger has Punk in a front facelock, but Punk makes it back to his feet and throws a few punches but Swagger kicks him in the face and gets a two count.

Swagger throws him into the ropes and hits a kidney punch, then slams his head off the turnbuckle and kicks him in the stomach but Punk fights back with knees to the head. He whips Swagger off the ropes and hits a shoulder block and a clothesline, then follows it with a neckbreaker and a running high knee. Punk goes for a bulldog put Swagger throws him across the ring and hits a running Swagger Bomb for two, then goes for another one but Punk gets his knees up. He goes for a top rope clothesline but Swagger catches him and hits a powerslam, then taunts Punk and goes for a gutwrench bomb but Punk counters with a GTS attempt.

Swagger slides out and hits a belly-to-belly suplex for two, then backs Punk into the corner and sets him up on the top turnbuckle for a superplex. Punk punches him a few times and knocks him down, then takes his time but hits a flying elbow drop and makes the cover but Swagger kicks out at two. Punk tries to put his shoulder back down but the bell rings and the ref says Punk is the winner eventhough Punk looks confused at the missed call. (Michael Cole is talking about the replay and says the ref blew the call, so they may be playing up the guest referee role at Royal Rumble.)

Winner – CM Punk

The Bella Twins are shown talking about A-listers when Ricardo Rodriguez comes up to them and asks why they made him come all the way from Mexico. He says they have cell phones and they try to answer but Miz interrupts them and says he is making Ricardo go to the ring and call out R-Truth. Ricardo says he isn’t doing it, but Miz says he will take care of everything and Ricardo will do it or he will make Ricardo join Alberto on the injured list. Miz tells Ricardo to hurry to the ring, and he asks the Bellas if they will join him but they laugh and say ‘no way’ and leave as Miz waits for him to head to the ring.

Ricardo is shown in the ring and he says he hopes Miz is watching, then reluctantly calls R-Truth to the ring and says his mother has a moustache and he smells. R-Truth comes out and says he doesn’t know why Ricardo would want to pick a fight with him, because he has it all wrong since he is not a bad person. He says he is a good R-Truth and little Jimmy told him to let Ricardo go, then he asks the fans and he says they don’t think much of Ricardo. Truth says little Jimmy wants him to turn Ricardo into a pinata, and Ricardo gets scared and calls for Miz but Truth tells him to calm down.

Truth says he looks like a scared little cockroach then asks Ricardo to sing ‘La Cucaracha’ and the fans cheer so he says he does have a little experience and starts singing. He gets into it and sounds more confident as the fans cheer him, then Truth smiles and asks him to do it one more time but he looks like he doesn’t want to listen. Ricardo smacks the mic out of his hands then looks scared and Truth gets pissed and drops him with the What’s Up and gets attacked from behind by Miz. He stomps him a few times then knees him in the head and picks him up but Truth pokes him in the eyes. Truth jumps up and tackles him then hits him a few times, but Miz gets away and runs through the crowd to get away and Truth rolls back in the ring before leaving.

Chris Jericho is introduced by Justin Roberts as ‘the only man to ever beat Steve Austin and the Rock in the same night’ and the first Undisputed Champion, then he makes his way to the ramp. He high fives people on the way to the ring then does the same thing as last week where he goes around the ring to get the fans all pumped up. Jericho asks for a mic and listens to the chants, then looks overwhelmed and motions that he needs a moment to collect himself but he starts to get emotional. He puts the mic down and leaves the ring, then pretends to cry and he backs up the ramp and says he is sorry but he can’t do this and leaves.

Eve Torres makes her entrance for her match and waits for Beth Phoenix but Kane’s music hits and Eve gets scared and looks around but Zack Ryder runs out and rushes her to safety. They are shown running to a car and Eve gets in but Zack notices that the tire is flat so he tells her to lock the doors. Zack tries to change the flat tire as quick as he can but struggles while Eve bangs on the window and tells him to hurry because they need to get out of there before Kane finds them.

John Cena vs Dolph Ziggler (w/ Vickie Guerrero)

Dolph runs the ropes and avoids Cena then shows off and puts him in a headlock, but Cena throws him back and catches him with a drop toe hold. Dolph comes right back with a legdrop bulldog for two then follows with a bridging headlock and stands on his head, but Cena counters out with a side suplex. Dolph runs at him and hits a few elbows but Cena rolls away and hits a shoulder block and sit outside slam then calls for the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Kane is shown attacking Zack Ryder outside and Dolph applies a sleeperhold in the ring while Kane chokeslams Zack off the loading dock. Cena throws Dolph into the steps then runs outside and looks around but ends up getting attacked by Kane from behind. Kane chokes out Cena right above where Zack is laid out on some wooden palettes, then he gets up and looks at his destruction as RAW goes off the air.

Result – No Contest (?)

Hi everyone,Andrew B and it is 2012 so I am here to take a look back at this last year. I will have an article for every WWE & TNA title as well as ever WWE & TNA PPV. I want to start with the WWE title and lets start now in January 2011.

January 2011 started with the Miz as WWE champion after he defeated Randy Orton for the title in November. The first WWE title match of the year was John Morrison vs Miz in a falls count anywhere match. It was also the first match of 2011 and was a good match. They got abut 18 minutes and it was a good match with a highlight being Morrison going for starship pain but missing and going through a table. Miz would then go on to defend the title vs Randy Orton at the Royal Rumble later that month. That match was 20 minutes and saw Miz retain the title after CM Punk hit the GTS on Orton. In February the Miz only defended the title once at the Elimination Chamber PPV against Jerry Lawler. In a 12 minute bout that was surprisingly good Miz left Oakland as the WWE champion heading to his next title defense at Wrestlemania 27. At Wrestlemania 27 in April 2011 Miz defeated John Cena after 15 minutes with the help of The Rock. This would be the last time Miz left a PPV with the WWE title around his waist. The next WWE title defense was at Extreme Rules 2011 inside a steel cage featuring Miz defending his title against John Cena & “The Guru Of Greatness” John Morrison. Cena would leave Tampa with the WWE title for the 300th time after hitting Miz with an AA off the top rope for the three count.

Cena’s first title defense would be three weeks later at Over The Limit in an I Quit match vs The Miz. Cena would take a brutal beating but after 25 minutes of violence Cena would make Miz say I Quit by locking him in the STFU. Cena’s next title defense would be in June against R Truth. Everyone knew Cena would win and he did after 15 minutes which I think was a decent amount of time but not for a main event. Truth had some offense but after Little Jimmy got involved Cena won with an AA.

This next part is my favorite as CM Punk became a big player. It all started with his famous shoot which if you never saw stop reading and watch it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OS9wZGb_3g Now that would lead to CM Punk vs John Cena for the WWE title in Chicago. The crowd was great for this match and was behind Punk and hated Cena. The stipulation was if CM Punk won the match then Cena was fired and Punk was leaving WWE after the match he said. The match was 35 minutes long as is possibly the match of the year and of course it ended with a NEW WWE CHAMPION NAMED CM PUNK. On the July 25th edition of Raw the finals of the WWE title tournament featured Miz vs Rey Mysterio. The match was about 13 minutes and was a good match and ended with Mysterio becoming WWE champion. Later that night in another WWE Title match John Cena defeated Rey Mysterio for the WWE Title. After the match Punk would return with another WWE title. This would lead to a champion vs champion match at Summerslam with CM Punk vs John Cena. Punk would win and then get attacked by Kevin Nash which would lead to Alberto Del Rio cashing in his MITB briefcase to become WWE champion.

On August 15th Del Rio defended the title against Rey Mysterio in the main event of Raw. Del Rio left San Diego still WWE champion after a 13 minute TV main event. Del Rio would then defend the title vs John Cena in an 18 minute bout that saw John Cena win the WWE title after Del Rio tapped out to the STFU. Cena would hold the title until the Hell in a Cell PPV on October 2nd which was his first title defense. It was in a Hell in a Cell against Alberto Del Rio and the “Voice Of The Voiceless” CM Punk. Del Rio would win his 2nd WWE title after pinning CM Punk after 25 minutes of an exciting main event. Del Rio would then have his first title defense against John Cena at the Vengeance PPV on 10/23/2011. After Awesome Truth attacked Cena, Del Rio leveled Cena with the WWE title to retain the title after a 27 minute match. At Survivor Series in New York City CM Punk defeated Alberto Del Rio to win the WWE for the third time this year. On the 11/28/11 RAW CM Punk retained the WWE Title against Alberto Del Rio. At TLC in a triple threat TLC match for the WWE title CM Punk defeated Miz & Alberto Del Rio.

WWE Champions of 2011:

Miz (1) – started 2011 as champion

John Cena (3)

CM Punk (3)

Rey Mysterio (1) – for less than 2 hours

Alberto Del Rio (2)

Overall:

It was nice to see Cena not hold the title from Extreme Rules to Wrestlemania 28. John Cena held the title 3 times this year just like CM Punk. CM Punk made the WWE interesting again and I would never have guessed he would win the title three times yet alone once this year. Alberto Del Rio had two reigns where he lost them both at te next PPV and Mysterio had a reign for less then two hours. The WWE Title was passed to new faces like Del Rio & Punk but 2012 will be a big year for the likes of maybe Zack Ryder or Kane and for sure Dolph Ziggler.

Well until next time be on the look out for the rest of my look back at the 2011 Titles in the World Of Wrestling.

JM: What is your finishing move?

KR: I like to try and use different ways to win but my signatures are the “Puta Madre” which is a Diving Double Knee Drop, and the “Murray Driver” which is a Tilt-a-Whirl Piledriver, named in memory of a friend who passed away.

JM: Where can we find you on the internet?

KR: You can find me on Facebook http://www.Facebook.com/KrisReX

Stormin’s Genesis Review

By Norman Knox

“Genesis” opens with Robert Roode being shown arriving to the arena. Next, Jeff Hardy is shown making his arrival to the arena. From there we go into the arena, the pyro goes off and it’s time for the first TNA pay-per-view of 2012. Mike Tenay and Taz introduce us to the show and hype up tonight’s top matches.

X-Division Title: Zema Ion vs. Kid Kash vs. Jesse Sorensen vs. Austin Aries (c)

Rapper Rick Ross is shown in the audience for the show tonight. Zema Ion makes his entrance. Out next is Kid Kash. Jesse Sorensen comes out. And finally, the champion Austin Aries comes to the ring. And our X-Division title match is officially underway. Aries drops to the floor, leaving the other three guys in the ring all going at it. Ion performs a sick 360 splash onto Kash and pins him, eliminating him from the contest. Aries hits the same move on Sorensen moments later, but Sorensen manages to kick out of the pin attempt. Ion, Sorensen and Aries remain in the match at this point. A short while later, Sorensen pins Ion with a simple inside cradle to eliminate him from the match. Now we’re down to Aries and Sorensen. Aries tries immediately after to eliminate Sorensen with a small package pin attempt, but no dice. Sorensen fights back with a neckbreaker and a pin attempt, but Aries kicks out. Later on, Sorensen went to the ropes, but Ion, who was still hanging around, trips him up. Aries performs a running dropkick on Sorensen, who was still hanging off the ropes. Aries follows up with a brainbuster off the middle rope for a pinfall. Aries wins and retains.

Winner and STILL X-Division Champion: Austin Aries

Backstage, Jeremy Borash is interviewingDevon’s sons.Devon’s sons babble for a bit until The Pope shows up and cuts a Pope-like promo. Pope says they won’t have to deal withDevonagain. He puts his arms aroundDevon’s sons and says, “Daddy has spoken.”

The Pope (with Terrence and Terrell) vs. Devon

Devongoes after Pope early. The crowd is doing dueling chants forDevonand Pope. Pope puts Devon’s head in front of the ringside post and attempts to throw a chair at it, butDevonavoids it. Later on, Pope calls forDevon’s sons to join him in the ring. He tells them to attack their father. They don’t seem to want to, but Pope stays on their case. They continue to hesitate and eventually Pope attacks one of them. The other brother didn’t like that, so Pope knocks him out too.Devonfires up and goes on the offensive.Devonhits his finisher on Pope and scores the pinfall. After the match,Devon’s sons come into the ring.Devonlooks apprehensive, but eventually holds his arms out wide and they all share a big hug. Awwww.

Winner: Devon

Backstage, Jeremy Borash talks about Jeff Hardy’s road to redemption. He is interrupted by Velvet Sky. Sting enters the scene. Velvet says she needs to talk to him. Velvet lobbies for the Knockouts VP position. He tries to respond, but Velvet starts complaining about Madison Rayne. Sting eventually seems to like her idea but said the crew couldn’t make it happen on short notice. Ultimately, Sting endorses Velvet’s plan and that debackle concludes.

We’re still backstage, Jeremy Borash asks Sting about Jeff Hardy. Sting said he didn’t really give Hardy the chance. Instead, Sting says Hardy rebuilt the bridge of trust one brick at a time. Sting concludes by venting some more about Bobby Roode being a thorn in his side.

Gunner (with Ric Flair) vs. Rob Van Dam

Gunner almost immediately pulls the padding at ringside, continuing to use the concrete floor as he’s been doing lately. Later on, RVD hits a cross-body block off the top rope for a nearfall. RVD hits Rolling Thunder for another nearfall. RVD tries to hit a big dive spot onto the floor on Gunner, but Flair pulls him out of the way, causing RVD to land where there was no padding. Flair and the ref start arguing. While that is going on, Gunner hits RVD with a DDT on the concrete portion of the floor. Gunner rolls RVD back into the ring and pins him for the 1-2-3. The ref throws up the X-symbol and trainers come out to help RVD to sell an injury angle seemingly.

Winner: Gunner

Backstage, Jeremy Borash starts off by promising to give an update on RVD’s condition throughout the rest of tonight’s PPV. He says they’ll also have updates on the official TNA website. Borash then interviews Jeff Hardy. Hardy is wearing whacko face-paint. Hardy tells Borash he has a World Title to win.

TNA Knockouts Title: Gail Kim (with Madison Rayne) vs. Mickie James

The announcers point out a shark cage at ringside and assume that it’s part of Velvet Sky’s aforementioned plan. Mickie comes out dressed like The Farmer’s Daughter from GLOW. Velvet Sky comes out and throwsMadisoninside the cage, which has pink and white bars. The cage is then raised into the air. Velvet remains at ringside. Mickie controls most of the offense in the match for the first few minutes. She hits a Thesz Press off the top rope.Madisonthrows a pair of brass knuckles to the floor. The ref immediately notices them and grabs them himself.Madisonthrows another pair and this time Mickie ends up with them. Mickie hits Gail with tbe brass knux just as the ref turned to see it. She gets DQ’d. That’s how the match ends.

Winner via DQ: Gail Kim

Backstage, Jeremy Borash is with Bully Ray. Bully Ray says he’s the king of hardcore matches. He names Mick Foley and Terry Funk as guys who bow down to him in that respect. Ray explains that he’ll do whatever it takes to take out Abyss tonight. Ray says Abyss will be forced to kiss the feet of the members of Immortal once he’s forced to rejoin. He says he’ll be Immortal’s bitch once again.

Monster’s Ball Match: Bully Ray vs. Abyss

There’s a ton of weapons at ringside including barbwired tables and a trash can filled with the typical hardcore-match type gear. Bully Ray attacks Abyss early on, but he no-sells it. Ray pulls out a chain. Abyss ends up using a chair and gets the better of the exchange. Abyss empties the trash can full of weapons and then throws them inside the ring, along with a couple of trash cans. Later on, Abyss pulls out a board covered in nails from under the ring. The fans popped big for that. Abyss swings it at Ray but missed. Ray says he’s leaving and heads up the ramp. Abyss follows after him and brings him back into the ring. Ray ends up turning the tide on Abyss and slams him into a barbwire board that was set up on one of the ring posts. Abyss’s arm is covered in blood now. Ray slams the barbwire board over Abyss’s head. Later on, Abyss grabs two bags from under the ring and places them inside the ring. Abyss uses a cheese grater on Bully Ray’s crotch. Youch! Abyss opens up one of said-bags and pours thumb tacks all over the ring mat. Ray hits Abyss with a low blow. Abyss ends up making a comeback and chokeslams Ray through a table in the ring for a nearfall. Ray grabbed a kendo stick and slammed it on Abyss’s back continuously. Ray then charged toward Abyss, who recovered and hit the Black Hole Slam on the barbwire for the pin.

Winner: Abyss

Backstage, Jeremy Borash is with Matt Morgan and Crimson. Crimson explains that destroying lives is what he does for a living. Morgan does most of the mic work during the promo. That’s the basic jist.

TNA Tag-Team Titles: Matt Morgan & Crimson vs. Samoa Joe & Magnus

All the guys are battling it out early on in the match. After a few minutes, a shot airs of Bully Ray beating up Abyss backstage. While that is going on, Crimson makes a hot tag to Morgan. Morgan works over Magnus a bit. A few minutes later, Morgan and Crimson hit a double-chokeslam on Magnus for the clean pinfall victory. Morgan and Crimson officially retain the TNA World Tag-Team Championships.

Winners and STILL TNA Tag-Team Champions: Matt Morgan & Crimson

Backstage, Jeremy Borash is with James Storm. Storm puts his hat and glasses on Borash for the interview segment. Storm then pretends that Borash is him for a brief moment. Eventually, Storm says the key is that “I believe” he can beat Kurt Angle.

Kurt Angle vs. James Storm

Television chef Robert Irvine is shown at ringside. The announcers put him over, but don’t acknowledge that he is currently dating TNA Knockout Gail Kim. Angle stalls early by heading to ringside. Eventually Angle and Storm lock up. Storm gets in a bit of offense, but shortly after, Angle takes over. Most of Angle’s early offense consisted of a lot of rest-holds. A few minutes later, the pace picks up and Angle takes his straps down to show he’s serious now. Later on, Storm hits an elbow drop off the top rope for a nearfall. Storm plays to the crowd while setting up the Last Call super-kick. Storm goes for the move but Angle pulls the ref in front of him, causing Storm to stop himself. Angle hits Storm with a low blow and kicks him in the head. Angle pins Storm for the win.

Winner: Kurt Angle

Backstage, Bully Ray is asked where Abyss is since he was shown earlier beating him up after their match. Ray acts like he doesn’t know.

TNA World Title: Bobby Roode (c) vs. Jeff Hardy

Jeremy Borash does introductions for both guys. The crowd is into Hardy. They boo Roode a bit. Both guys trade control of the offense early on. Hardy then gets a small run of interupted offense for a bit. They go to the floor and Hardy gets a running start and jumps off the ring steps, crashing into Roode, who was against the guard rail. Roode goes back on the offensive and hits a suplex followed by a knee drop off the middle rope for a nearfall. Roode locks Hardy into a chinlock rest hold. Hardy fires up on offense and the crowd is way into it. Roode cuts him short and slams him down hard onto the mat. Roode stands up plays heel for the crowd. Roode throws Hardy under the bottom rope and onto the floor outside of the ring. Back in the ring, a “let’s go Hardy” chants start up from the fans in the TNA Asylum. Roode again cuts Hardy’s offense short, which also shuts up the crowd. Roode locks in a crossface on Hardy, who eventually makes it to the ropes to break the crowd. Roode goes up to the middle rope and mocks Hardy’s dancing. He tries jumping off onto Hardy, but Hardy gets his feet up. Roode still manages to get back to his feet and the two start exchanging punches. Hardy gets the better of it and gets back in control of the offense. Roode eventually stops him short and hits a spinebuster to calm the crowd down. Hardy sets up his finisher on Roode, but Roode manages to avoid it by rolling out to the floor. Roode grabs his title belt and starts walking up the ramp, but Hardy catches up with him and brings him back to the ring. Hardy hits the Twist of Fate when they’re back in the ring. Hardy followed that up by hitting the Whisper In The Wind for a nearfall. Hardy sets up another Twist Of Fate, but this time Roode pushes him off and tries again to leave the ring. Hardy again stops him and brings him back to the ring. Roode swings his title belt at Hardy but Hardy avoids it. Roode rolls Hardy up out of nowhere and tried pinning him with his feet on the ropes. The ref catches him and Roode begs off. Roode then kicks the ref low to get himself DQ’d. He succeeded. Hardy hits the Twist of Fate on Roode and tries pinning him, but the ref informs him that the match is already over due to the DQ. Hardy hits Roode with another Twist of Fate, then takes the title belt and runs laps around the ring. He eventually drops the title belt across a still laid out Roode and heads to the back. That’s all folks!

Winner via DQ: Jeff Hardy

Hi everyone Andrew B to cover Impact again as this week we will have a huge 6 man tag team main event and a tag team knockout title match. Also Gunner will battle RVD and we will find out who won the Wild Card Tag Team Tournament? So let’s not waste anytime and get the answers to all these question.

We start off with a recap of recent weeks as Bobby Roode and his selfish generation attitude and his friendship with Bully Ray.

Sting comes out and calls out Jeff Hardy. Sting says he is impressed with Hardy since his return and he is building a bride of trust back and then Sting says he was dealing with demons also and got a second chance as well and has not messed up since. Sting says he endorses Jeff as Roode, Angle & Bully Ray come out. Roode says he almost threw up watching that and that Sting endorses Hardy and Ray yells he sucks. Roode says why Hardy and not him as he is the Face of TNA and he is the biggest name in wrestling now. Roode says if not him then why now a gold medalist like Kurt Angle. Roode then says why not Ray who has never had a World Title match because Sting picks favorites. Roode says Hardy is nothing to him as Storm & Abyss come out. Storm tels Roode to shut up and says Kurt has not said anything because maybe his mouth is wired from the superkick last week. Storm says that a few months back he looked in Angle’s eyes and he was not scared but not he looks scared because he knows one Last Call can knock him out. Storm says since Angle likes to attack his buddies he brought a friend who also likes beer and it is Abyss who is drinks a beer with Storm in the ring. Angle goes to say something but Abyss grabs the mic and tells Ray that Immortal disrepcted him for months and now they realize they need him because of his size & power but he does not need Immortal anymore. Abyss says all he needs is Ray at Genesis in Monster’s Ball and he will make Ray pay for the sins of Immortal. Sting says tonight’s main event will be Ray/Roode/Angle vs Storm & Abyss & Hardy.

We then see the Knockouts Tag Team Title is on the line after this break.
Madison Rayne and Gail Kim are checking each other out in their bikinis at the pool earlier today when they find Traci Brooks hanging out in the hot tub. Madison gets in her face & attacks Traci. Traci fights back but Gail jumps into the pool and the two of them try and drown her until Mickie James, also in a bikini, jumps in and chases them off.

Match 1: Gail Kim & Madison Rayne vs Mickie James & Traci Brooks For The Knockouts Tag Titles:
The match starts with Traci attacking Gail before it starts and we have a brawl to start. Traci and Gail are on the outside with Mickie and Madison in the ring. The match is all Traci & Mickie as the heels are outside the ring laying down while Traci & Micki pose as we go to break. Back from break and Mickie hits a monkey flip on Madison out of the corner. The match is back and forth with Mickie getting the babyface beatdown. She makes the hot tag to Traci who comes out and takes it to Gail. Madison comes in to interfere, so Mickie comes off the top rope and takes her out with the flying lou thez press as Gail hits Eat Da Feet on Traci for the win.
Winners: Gail Kim & Madison Rayne Retain The Titles

Match Rating: *** out of 5

Ric Flair is backstage telling Gunner how awesome he is and what a star he’s becoming because he puts people in ambulances. Tonight, they’re going to put someone in the hospital again, and then Sting pops up from behind and says that RVD is going out to the ring alone and tells Flair he can’t go out with Gunner. Flair says Sting’s pushing his buttons, so Sting says that’s what he’s trying to do and they can watch the match together from the back as we go to break.

Back from break and Eric Young is backstage looking for ODB because they’re in the Wild Card Tournament tonight and they’re two crazy kids in love. The Cameraman says they’re out of the tournament, but EY just runs off looking for ODB again.

We get a video package for the finals of the tag team tournament and then head to Magnus backstage where he is firing Joe up by saying that there’s no more being overlooked because they’re going to go out there and win tonight. We then head to AJ and Kazarian who say that unlike all the other teams in the tournament, they like each other and will have each other’s backs and that’s how you win tag team titles.

Garett Bischoff is backstage telling Sting how much it means to him to be in the same ring with the TNA wrestlers and he’ll make Sting proud tonight. Sting asks him why he’s wearing a referee shirt and he says because he’s going to referee the next match. Sting tells him to take the shirt off him and asks what he’s thinking, and he says Garett’s not a referee…he’s a wrestler. He hands Garett a pair of boots and welcomes him to the roster.

Eric Young is still backstage looking for ODB and wanders into Gail Kim and Madison Rayne’s locker room. They yell at and eventually attack him, so Young stuffs Madison into a locker and runs off.

Match 2: Gunner vs “The Whole F’N Show” Rob Van Dam:
The match starts with RVD in control using his speed he then blocks a clothesline from Gunner and goes to the outside to pose as we go to break. Back from break and Gunner is in control and he whips RVD to the corner, but charges right into Van Dam’s boot Gunner takes control & chokes RVD on the ropes, but RVD fights back with kicks and a clothesline, followed by a standing moonsault for 2. Gunner starts to fire back but RVD just dropkicks and hits Rolling Thunder. Gunner rolls outside the ring before RVD can go for a cover, RVD pops out to the apron and Gunner goes to do the spot where he yanks RVD’s ankle and RVD falls face first on the ring apron, but RVD gets his foot caught in the ring apron on the way down and falls backward in a really sick bump. Gunner pulls back the ring mats as the bell rings and we have a double countout. RVD backdrops him right onto the concrete & throws Gunner over the guardrail and goes for the leg lariat off the apron, but Gunner moves out of the way and RVD misses. Gunner tries to hit a piledriver on the floor, but D-Lo Brown, Al Snow, and Pat Kenney come out and stop him and send him to the back.

Winner: No One – Double Countout

Match Rating: ** out of 5

James Storm, Abyss, and Jeff Hardy are backstage and Storm says they have the advantage tonight because they’re not scared of Angle, Ray, or Roode. Hardy says that tonight’s going to be a warmup for Genesis, and Abyss says he’s gladly out of Immortal and will take care of them tonight. We then go to Roode, Angle, and Ray backstage and Roode says Hardy may have a friend now but no friend can help him at Genesis. Angle says Storm stole the title from him and that he will break Storm’s ankle tonight and Ray says screw you. Ray then talks about the Westbury house show and his match against RVD but it never happened instead it was Ray vs Roode vs Hardy but nice of him to mention the house show as we go to break.

Match 3: Austin Aries & Kid Kash vs Zema Ion & Jesse Sorensen
Ion and Sorensen argue until Kash jumps Sorensen from behind and unloads on him. Kash takes it to Sorensen until he fights back but Ion tags himself in and ends up getting the beatdown and double team from Kash & Double A. Ion makes a tag but he is not getting along with Sorensen but Sorensen takes it to Aries. The babyfaces take control as this is another good match on Impact. In the end Ion misses the 450 Splash and Aries goes for the brain buster but Sorensen tagged himself in and hits his finisher on Aries for the three count.
Winners: Jesse Sorensen & Zema Ion

Match Rating: *** out of 5

AJ and Kazarian are backstage getting ready for the match and Kazarian looks torn about something, but AJ tells him it’s time and they leave. After they’re gone, we’re still in the room and see a pleased looking Christopher Daniels come out as we go to break.

Back from break & EY finally finds ODB backstage and tells her to get ready for their match, and ODB says it’s like March Madness: one and done. Young says it’s not March, it’s January and to get her gear on. ODB grabs EY and takes him down and then kisses him before getting up and walking off. EY is smiling ear to ear and says “I KNEW IT!”

Match 4: AJ Styles & Kazarian vs Samoa Joe & Brutus Magnus in the Wild Card Tournament Finals:
AJ and Joe start us off and Joe easily backs AJ to the corner and opens up with straight right hands and puts the boots to him as well. Joe tags inMagnus who levels AJ with right hands of his own and then a side backbreaker for 2. AJ takes a beatdown and tags in Kaz who takes control. the action has been back and forth with these 4 good athletes as in the end Magnus blocks the Styles Clash but AJ hits the Pelle Kick as Daniels comes out to the top of the ramp. AJ goes to make the tag, but Kazarian drops off the ring apron and Joe immediately charges in and hits AJ with a leaping kneestrike in the corner, then snapmares AJ for a top rope elbowdrop from Magnus and covers AJ for 3.
Winners: Samoa Joe & Brutus Magnus

Match Rating: *** out of 5

We go backstage to Matt Morgan and Crimson, who say they’re glad the tournament is over because now they know who’s signing their own death certificate at Genesis. Joe and Magnus walk in and tell them to kiss already and get it over with, and Joe tells Morgan to get a nice case for the belt because he doesn’t want Morgan getting any scratches on it before Joe takes it home. Of course a brawl breaks out, and D-Lo, Snow, and Kenney break it up.
Mike and Taz run down the card for Genesis.

Match 5: Jeff Hardy, Abyss & James Storm vs Robert Roode, Bully Ray & Kurt Angle
Storm and Ray start us off and Bully quickly backs off through the ropes to avoid Storm and then cheapshots Abyss out on the apron. He finally ties up with Storm and takes him to the corner, tries to cheapshot him, but Storm ducks and nails Ray. Storm starts working over the arm and tags out to Abyss, and Ray tags in Roode, who looked unhappy to be getting in the ring with & spits at Hardy out on the apron. Roode with a kick to the gut and some right hands to Abyss, but he can’t whip Abyss to the corner and instead runs right into a big boot from Abyss. Abyss goes to the ropes but Ray kicks him from the outside and Roode is able to ram Abyss to the heel corner where he is pummeled by Ray & Angle as we go to break. Back from break & Angle is working over the knee of Abyss & Roode comes in for a double team, but Abyss fights them off and takes them out with a double clothesline. Abyss tags in Storm and he takes control until a cheap shot from Ray and Ray gets tagged in and takes control. Angle tags out to Roode, but Storm makes the hot tag to Hardy and now Hardy is in the ring cleaning house on Roode. Hardy hits the Twist of Fate but Bully breaks up the cover, and now all hell has broken loose in the ring with all six men going at it. Finally the referee has enough and calls for the bell.

The fight continues as Abyss rams Angle into the steps on the outside and Storm battle Ray, but Roode and Hardy are alone in the ring and Hardy hits another Twist of Fate and goes for the Swanton, but Ray shoves Hardy off the corner and crotches him on the top rope. Storm comes in and hits a Codebreaker on Roode, but Angle comes in and lowblows Storm before he can hit the superkick. Angle hits a superkick of his own, but Abyss comes in and flattens both Angle and Roode, yet falls victim to Bully as he comes in from behind and lays Abyss out with the heavy chain. Now the heels are firmly in control and are just stomping the faces into mere smudges on the mat. Bully dumps Abyss to the floor and hangs him with the chain from inside the ring as Roode locks Hardy in the Crossface and Angle has Storm in the Angle Lock as the show ends.

Winners: No One – No Contest

Match Rating: ** 1/2 out of 5

Overall:

What an Impact as every match was enjoyable. The opening promo was good and the three normal tag matches are worth checking out. I give the 1/5/2012 Impact a 7 out of 10.

Sorry it is over so shortly but the weekend just went by quick and I have a lot to do. Until next week Let The Pigeons loose if your a girl but if your a man then remember It Pays To Be Roode.

Andrew B here and on 1/6/12 I went to the TNA house show in Westbury NY I was 6 rows away from the ring and it was a very enjoyable event even if the ring work was not the best. So let’s not waste anymore time as I go through my trip to TNA Live.

I had the VIP Pass and I got there an hour before the door opened with my friend Steve. About 30 minutes before the doors opened Don West cam out and told us about the Jeff Hardy shirt they had and that all toy belts were $10 and that he had three deals for us that we get first because were VIPS. The first was for $50 you and one other person get to go backstage to meet Ric Flair or if you don’t you can meet a surprise person for free instead at intermission. The 2nd deal was for $20 you get the glow in the dark Jeff Hardy action figure and he will sign it before the show. The last deal which I bought was for $30 you get an Impact Wrestling T Shirt, an action figure (I got legends of the ring – Jeff Jarrett), a program and four dvds (Against All Odds 2008, Destination X 2011, Sacrifice 2008 & Lockdown 2010). After they had tables around the ringside area for VIP ticket holders only and it was annoying because you could not take photos with them or off them posing and if you did not open to the page then they signed the cover. The VIP members got to meet Gail Kim, Mickie James, Madison Rayne, Devon, Crimson, Austin Aries and Jesse Sorensen. Sorensen was at the table with Devon and was wearing a hat and to be honest I did not know who he was until I saw the signature and I thought by his looks it was Garrett Bischoff. Funny story I asked Aries if I could take a picture of him with the belt and he said were right here and nor moving and then after I shook his hand with Steve he asked for Purell. Also JB said it is their privilege to meet us not the other way around and Aries yelled out speak for yourself. Another thing Mickie James is a Cowboys and joked on the guy in front of us in a Giants Jersey and on my friend Steve in a Jets jersey but she called me hun. After that which lasted less then 20 minutes we got on line 30 minutes early to meet Kurt Angle as the doors were open to everyone else to come in. I met Kurt which was free but he only signed TNA merchandise and then we went to our seats. At 7 PM my friend went for the Jeff Hardy deal which he was disappointed in as Jeff was in a dark room and just signed the figure without even looking up. Then Don West through out free gear including the Hulk Hogan XBOX game and called out JB who said he had backstage passes for the loudest fans. The merchandise stand had a lot of Sting, Hogan, RVD & Taz stuff even though none of them showed up and they had a few Angle things, a Storm shirt and a Velvet shirt plus a Mickie shirt nothing from Roode though. The brown bag was the best seller of the night.

Match 1: Austin Aries vs Jesse Sorensen for The X Division Title:

The crowd was split as Aries had a lot of fans even though he did not want any cheers. The match was good as they got about 10 minutes and at one point Jesse went to the top rope and hit his head on the speaker but in the end Aries hit the brain buster for the three count. The match was very enjoyable as the crowd was hot for it.

Winner: Austin Aries Retains The Title

Then JB brought out the ref for the next match and it was Earl Hebner who got huge heat and middle fingers and of course you screwed Bret chants. Hebner went to fight fans but was held back and took his shirt off to reveal the damn right I did it shirt and put glasses on and mocked Bret and did the crotch chop to the fans. If Earl is ref it must mean the Knockouts are coming up and next and they were.

Match 2: Gail Kim & Madison Rayne vs Mickie James & Velvet Sky For The TNA Knockout Tag Titles:

Madison’s voice is really annoying in person and she does not look as good as I thought last year but Gail, Mickie & Velvet are all amazing in person. Mickie and Velvet were both so sexy and the best part of the match was when it was quiet and I yelled out Madison wanna get pizza after the show and the people around me laughed. In the end Earl yet again was distracted by Mickie and Gail hit her finisher on Velvet and Madision pinned Velvet to retain the tag titles after a short match.

Winners: Madision Rayne & Gail Kim Retain Their Titles

JB then got into the ring and said that the tag team champions want to see who is better so instead of defending the titles tonight they will fight each other right now.

Match 3: Matt Morgan vs Crimson:

Brian Henber is the ref as both men got nice pops and played to the crowd and they locked up. I would then use this match as a bathroom break and from what I heard it was nothing special. I came back and Morgan went for the boot and Crimson moved and Morgan hit the corner and Crimson rolled him up for the three count in another short match. Morgan raised Crimson’s hand after and they left together.

Winner: Crimson Remains Undefeated

Earl Hebner comes out to ref our next match as we are about to see the worst match of the night.

Match 4: Gunner with “Nature Boy” Ric Flair vs Devon:

Devon came out to a nice pop and Gunner got some heat but Flair got a huge pop. Me & many other people in the arena were bowing down to Flair. Flair cut a promo saying Devon will never get a reaction like him because there is no Devon Flair around. He says they are about 30 minutes away from MSG and that he defeated so many people there. They cut his microphone off early and Flair got mad and then he told Hebner that if he does not do a good job he will kick his ass all over Westbury. As for the match I could not get into this match as many others as there were many boring chants. In the end Gunner pinned Devon with his foot under the rope but Earl did not see it so Gunner won.

Winner: Gunner

We then go to intermission and people went backstage to meet Flair if they had the pass but Don West told us to go in the lobby to meet a former knockout champion and Velvet Sky was out there. I walked by and yelled I love you and she waved at me. I waited on line and she signed my program. I am only 17 and still in high school but I can die a happy man. After I saw Jimmy Jay walking through the lobby as intermission ends and our next match is a Final Resolution rematch.

Match 5: Kurt Angle vs “Cowboy” James Storm:

The match was short also but was back and forth with Angle hitting many different kinds of suplexes. I was surprised that this match was short as I thought they would have gotten over 15 minutes like Final Resolution but they got I would says about 10 minutes I would say less though. In the end Storm hit the super kick out of no where for the three count.

Winner: “Cowboy” James Storm

Before the main event Bully Ray came out to huge heat but he had a few fans because he is from the NY area. He walked around the ring and pretended to kick a little kick dressed as Hogan in the face. He then put his hand out to for another little kid to slap but he pulled it away before he could slap Ray’s hand. Ray cut a promo and got huge heat for making fun of people he told a fat guy to sit down and shut up before telling his wife I think she was next to him that he remembered here from last time they were in Westbury because she was on her knees so he could take her backstage. He told another women she looked like Snooki only fatter and that he would tear her apart but God already did that to her face. He then talked trash to a little boy who he made cry and then said he would slap a women and that he has no problem with it. He ends it by telling the little boy’s sister that when she grows up she will be in the kitchen cooking & washing dishes. He got huge heat from the crowd and then Roode came out and he was posing with the title and Ray held it with him but Roode pulled away. Then the lights went out in the arena and then it turned green and purple and Hardy came out to a huge pop.

Match 6: Jeff Hardy vs Bully Ray vs Bobby Roode in a Non Title Triple Threat Match:

The match started with the heels working on Hardy then Ray through Roode out of the ring. Roode came back in the ring and confronted Ray but Ray blames it on Brian Hebner but Roode does not believe him and they start brawling. Roode gets thrown outside and Hardy hits Ray with the twist of faith for the three count.

Winner: Jeff Hardy

After the show Hardy took pictures in the ring for $20 and in the lobby Don West, Jimmy Jay & both Hebners signed autographs. There was also no autograph signing at the end except for JB was going around signing programs

Overall:

I have mixed views on the show. The meet and greet and fan interaction was nice but the ring work was short. There was not one match past 10 minutes and I do not know one. One guy in front of me said it is because Genesis is Sunday but I do not know. The best matches were the triple threat match, Storm vs Angle & The X Division Title. The knockout match was good also as for the roster not many people were there. There were only 16 wrestlers there, 2 refs and 2 salesmen & one JB. There was alot of Sting, RVD, Taz & Hogan stuff available there and none were there. The show was enjoyable but I would have liked longer matches.

Until next time be safe and if TNA comes to your town go and it is worth it. Also remember if you have to choose between meeting Ric Flair & Velvet Sky pick Flair, as I learned the hard way. Take care everybody.
